This is my first flyback experiments. The video shows the first arc I made from a flyback transformer, my 'prototype', then it built into a box, and me frying anything I can find! The flyback is from an old black and white portable television. Im hoping to find a better flyback soon, and build a better driver circit. Enjoy!

This is my recently build ZVS flyback driver. I'm running it at only 150 watts because the flyback can't take very much power, at higher power it will become very warm in seconds. The driver itself works great, the components stay cool, even when driven at higher powers.

Old flyback using the basic resonant driver, draws 1amp at 35v.

but at 35v I use 10Khom for R1, and, if you make this driver make sure you have a heatsink on the transistor.
